The LPS01EX was limited to a 100 VA transformer due to the limitations of the Takachi HEN case.
The LPS02EX uses the Takachi-HY case, is equipped with a 160VA toroidal transformer and has enhanced heat dissipation capability, making it a high current-capable version of the LPS01.

LPS Ver.3 linear power supply board developed from the BRi-LPS01EX LPS board.

Standard edition using four Nichicon UKA 35V/3300uF.

• Individual polymer capacitors for tertiary filter + WIMA MKP2 
  Selectable solid polymer capacitors for tertiary filter from 5~24V

• Parallel linear regulators to handle currents in excess of 5 A, but with SMD diodes and some Vishay MMB MELF metal film resistors, all in a size of conventional LPS linear PCB + 1 cm.
• 5~24 V, customisable by selecting the last two types

• Up to 7 A up to 15 V (10 A with 2 μ copper foil board option)
• 5A max. at 24V
• Aluminium heat sink + copper foil shield + copper heat spreader
• 160VA copper foil shielded toroidal transformer for selected voltages
• Inrush current protection circuit for selected voltages.
• Singatron OD5.5/ID2.1 (or 2.5) DC jack 
  Option to add one additional Singatron jack and one panel mounted output terminal
