Perhaps because the SILMIC II has not aged well, I feel that the mid and low frequencies are thick but lacking in extension. The BC2 gives more volume to the KZ's low frequencies, while also adding appropriate thickness and colour to the mid-range, and the high frequencies are extended and seem to be addictive.
