Due to its high performance, Nichicon UKA can oscillate, so the high sound quality is maintained by using WIMA film in combination.
In the PSM02 series, based on the experience with the LPS01, MKP2s are used, which are more compatible but more expensive, and by placing two of them - one on the UKA side and one on the polymer solid capacitor side - high sound quality on the UKA side is achieved and oscillation is suppressed, resulting in even clearer high frequencies and tighter bass frequencies than the PSM01 series. The PSM01 series has even clearer high frequencies and tighter low frequencies than the PSM01 series.

The PSM02-xP series uses eight expensive Panasonic OS-CON SEPFs, the pioneering solid polymer capacitors, to improve over-response, noise reduction and information content. This is responsible for the PSM02 series' improved over-responsiveness, information content, sound separation and noise reduction.
The OS-CON SEPF has an ESR value of 14 mΩ.
While it emphasises information content and is ideal for audio interfaces and THX headphone amplifiers, it has a long ageing time of 1,000 hours.
