The PSM02 series is based on the basic model PSM01 series, with the development filter of the flagship linear power supply LPS01 cut out and made into a single module.

Noise cleaner + bulk capacitor and power smoothing module, which is only for switching/transformer/USB PD GaN element AC adapters or linear power supplies, and is only effective in terms of reducing noise in upstream adapters.
This is a higher-end model of the PSM01 that pursues reproduction of the original sound by pursuing further reproducibility of sound through excessive responsiveness (transient/fast response) and noise reduction, with the same configuration as the filter part of the LPS01 series development type.

Similar to PSM01-F2N, this design utilises Nichicon UKA 6800uF capacitors as a base. By adding eight low-ESR polymer solid capacitors—either Nichicon FPCAP RR7 or Panasonic OS-CON—further noise reduction is achieved. However, this necessitates the use of numerous high-cost components, resulting in a higher price point. Nevertheless, the performance delivered is commensurate with this investment.

Common specifications for the BRi-PSM02 series

• Reduces high-frequency noise from 100 KHz to 1 GHz by using the Murata EMIFIL BNX016-01 EMI filter for noise suppression.
  (The wall of high frequencies felt with the Petit Susie and ATH-W5000 are not felt with this product, making it clear all the way to the top)
• Nichicon audio aluminium electrolytic capacitors and WIMA film capacitors are used to reduce noise in the audible frequency range to 200 KHz.
• Improved noise reduction performance and over-response (transient/fast response) compared to the PSM01 series by enabling mounting of up to five aluminium electrolytic capacitors and eight solid polymer capacitors on a single board.
• DC input Singatron DC connector (OD 5.5 mm / ID 2.1 mm) for stable connection.
• DC output DC plug (OD 5.5 mm/ID 2.1 mm) or terminal block
  (From 21/4/2024) Use Oyaide 102SSC 3398-18 0.75sq cable for the DC cable and Marushin Radio MP121CF DC plug for high current measures and enhanced sound quality in the whole area (approx. 15 cm).
• Original design with noise suppression 2-layer board

• SR-4N from Wako Technical, using silver-bearing solder for audio.
• HMX-Ag Acoustic silver-contained solder manufactured by Kojima Solder Mfg.
• By limiting direct distribution, the line-up includes three types and six models: the Nichicon FPCAP RR7 specification up to 16 V withstand voltage, the Panasonic OS-CON SEPF specification up to 25 V.
• The Nichicon FPCAP RR7 specification PSM02-xR appropriately inherits the substantial presence of the previous xN model, combines the overall balance of the previous xF model, and further possesses resolution and sound localisation superior to the xP model.
  As a drawback, it has a voltage rating up to 16V, so it cannot be used in equipment requiring 17V or higher.
• Panasonic OS-CON SEPF specification PSM02-xP features a flat characteristic that does not enhance volume perception, unlike PLG, making it suitable for audio interfaces.
• Fundamentally, as these are items produced for distribution and personal enjoyment, the price is essentially just the cost of parts and postage.

Basically, the price is almost only the cost of the parts and shipping, as the products are made for distribution and hobby.
We try to keep costs down by soldering all the DC cables, but please note that we cannot offer the same low prices as Petit Susie, which is mass-produced in China and uses very cheap generic products, due to the cost of designing and manufacturing the original boards, the cost of top audio grade components, EMIFIL, and so on.
